I teach the 6 and 7 year old children at church and I always try to give them a handout that goes along with the lesson. I think children learn so much better if they can have a visual to help remind them of what they have been taught. I am also having so much fun using my creative side with these handouts. This particular lesson was titled, Come Follow Me. In the lesson I told them the story about how when Jesus Christ was on the earth he called men to be his disciples, or helpers. (Matthew 4:18-22) There is a verse that says, "I will make you fishers of men" which meant that Jesus wanted these men to help him teach the people. As soon as I read this lesson, I knew what I wanted to do for my handout. I made each child a little fishing kit out of all my old fabric and the rods were made from sticks. They turned out so cute and the boys love them too!
One of the songs we sing in church is, Come Follow Me
"Come, follow me," the Savior said.
Then let us in his footsteps tread,
For thus alone can we be one
With God's own loved, begotten Son.

Art in the Park/Laurel's Spring Performance
At the end of every school year the art teacher displays art for all of the students throughout the halls of the school. It's actually really beautiful and a sight to see all the different interpretations of art. Laurel and Savannah both love this class. Laurel also got to perform in her spring show. That was amazing as well. We got to see what she had accomplished this year by getting to school every Thursday at 7:15! She didn't miss a Thursday the whole year and in my book that is reason to celebrate!!
Dirt Bike Race/The Ridge
A few Fridays ago, before school was out for summer, I checked Lily out from her school and drove over to the girl's school and got into their carpool line. I had not told the girl's that Lily was going to spend the weekend with us. I just live to surprise these girls. It sure makes life exciting for them! So Lily crawled over into the trunk and jumped out yelling, Surprise, when they got into the van. Laurel and Savannah let out the biggest scream. They were so shocked!
Saturday morning, we all got up and headed north to Landon and Seth's dirt bike race. Landon was so excited that Lily was going to his dirt bike race. I love going to this race because it is a gorgeous drive getting to the race. This area of Alabama has such beautiful views.
Aunt Jamie, Uncle Kimball and Luke came to cheer Landon and Seth on. It was great hanging out with them.

After the race, Landon asked if we were yelling for him. I said, "yes we were! Could you hear us?" He said, "I could hear Lily!" He loves her and thinks she is his best friend.
Lily was so excited that she got to ride on the back of Seth's bike!
Look at that sweet Sawyer trying to keep up with Seth and Landon's bike.
"My race is over and now it's time for daddy's race!"
A game of rock, paper, scissors!
Race day is a good day all day long! Nothing better than playing in the dirt!
There wasn't a cloud in the sky!
There goes our daddy!
They were all sound asleep before we drove down the mountain!
