Live Wax Museum/Helen Keller

The boys and I went to the girl's school to watch Savannah in her Live Wax Museum.  She chose to be Helen Keller.  She has read several books about Helen Keller and loves her.  I remember loving her too, as a little girl.  What an inspiration this Helen Keller was!
Savannah did such a good job.  She had to memorize some facts about Helen Keller. She had to be ready to come to life, as Helen Keller, when someone came by and pushed her red button.  When she finished talking about Helen Keller, she would go back into wax mode.  There were several classes participating and the boys had so much fun walking around and pushing buttons!

As they were setting up, Sawyer saw Savannah and went running to her to give her a big hug.

Laurel's class came to the museum!

.

I was very impressed with how she kept her composure and kept reciting her facts over and over, as people pushed her red button.

The boys and I walked around and found some of her friends.

It was a great wax museum!  I was so impressed with all of these students and of course, the teachers for putting this together!

Easter Sunday 2014

There was much anticipation in our house Sunday Morning.  Laurel and Savannah had been asked by the music director to sing together for the Easter program.  These girls had practiced the words to this song for about three weeks.  I would hear them singing in the shower,  in the bed, in the car!  It has been so much fun listening to them practice.  We have all caught ourselves humming and singing this song.
They were so nervous as we were getting ready for Church.  Laurel said she was shaking already!  Savannah felt like she was going to throw up!  I secretly felt the same way for them.
They stood.
They sang.
It was beautiful!
All their hard work paid off!  Let me add, there were about 150 people there.  People come out on Easter Sunday!! :) I was proud of these two girls.  Here are the words to the song:

I Think When I Read That Sweet Story

I think when I read that sweet story of old,
When Jesus was here among men,
How he called little children like lambs to his fold;
I should like to have been with him then.

I wish that his hands had been placed on my head,
That his arms had been thrown around me,
That I might have seen his kind look when he said,
"Let the little ones come unto me."

We left after church and went to Papa and Granny's house.  We ate lunch and had an egg hunt in their awesome back yard.

Savannah found the Golden Egg!  Her cool Aunt Jennifer stuffed it with money!

I love how they are so involved with their eggs and candy.

Papa and Granny always make the holidays fun!

Aww.... Landon needs more boys in his life!

It has been a great Easter Weekend with family.  I'm so grateful for Christ, his Atonement and Resurrection.

Easter Weekend 2014

Saturday Morning, I took the girls and Sawyer to church for an Easter breakfast, games, egg hunt and a spiritual thought about Easter.  Seth and Landon woke up early and headed north for a dirt bike race.

Laurel was so sweet.  She asked if she could help Sawyer hunt for eggs instead of participating in the egg hunt.
