Savannah wanted to give something to all of the extra people at school, for an end of year gift. We totaled it up, and it was going to be 7 people. We decided to do the personalized thank you notes with earings that we had done a few years ago. At first, I thought it would be silly to repeat this same thing, because she would be giving them out to some of the same people. But Savannah didn't mind that at all. She spent a couple of hours drawing a portrait of each teacher and writing a very thoughtful note in each one. I was so impressed with the feelings she put in each thank you card. These people take care of my babies, and see them more hours than I do during the school year. You could really tell that she had a bond with them, and that made me feel so much comfort. I love teachers, and wish that we could have given them more than just a pair of earrings, but I'm pretty sure Savannah's words meant more to them than anything money could buy.
