Dirt Bike Season/Race 7/Minooka Park

(Race #6 was in Tennesse.  Savannah and I stayed behind, so I have no pictures from this race.)

Audra and Linn came to visit for a long weekend!  I LOVE when someone from my family comes to visit!  We had so much fun with them.  My girls think that Aunt Audra is just the coolest Aunt ever!  I mean she can flip in the air, and she can do hair!  She tried to teach Laurel how to french braid.

Savannah has the perfect hair to practice with.

Her and Linn were also able to go to the dirt bike race.  They have never seen the kids race, so they were very excited!

Seth ordered Landon some new stickers for his bike with his name on them.  Landon was so excited and kept saying he couldn't believe his name was on his bike!

Landon absolutely loves that his little buddy is racing with him.

This race had a really steep hill

It was so hard to get up!

Sawyer was so excited that he splashed in some mud and got all muddy!

Luke came to this race, so he and Sawyer got to do the strider race together.

Landon got to wave the yellow flag to start the race.

Sawyer came in 1st for his class and so did Luke!

Laurel got first place, again!!

Sawyer came in 8th place for the dirt bike race

Landon came in 4th place!

We were disappointed when Seth took off.  He was the only one on his line!  He took off all by himself!  Yeah, that was a little awkward.  But guess what!?  He came in first! :)

The man who did the concession stand was selling cane syrup.  Linn and Audra started talking to him about how they have tried to describe sugar cane to their children.  We grew up eating sugar cane, or sucking the juice out of the cane.  That sweet man went to his truck and pulled out a stalk of sugar cane.  My kids had never had it before either.  They loved it!  Linn and Audra cut the stalk into pieces and carried it home with them.  They bought some cane syrup and we shipped it to them.  They took a little bit of the south home with them.
