Forty! Really?
Bring. It. On . Baby. Wow, I remember when 40 sounded really old. Well, it's not looking too old today. I seriously can not believe I'm 40. It seems just like yesterday I was building straw houses and riding fourwheelers with my cousins.
So, how should one forty year old act? I'm really excited that I have three crazy, funny, so imaginative, active children to keep me young. That's right. I'm happy about that right now. Ask me how I feel in ten years when I'm 50 raising crazy teenagers.
This photo shoot was courtesy of Laurel and Savannah. Laurel posed me and said, "sit right here. Put this arm here and this hand here." The girls asked if they could take some pictures of me for a surprise they wanted to do for my birthday. I said sure. You know, there aren't a lot of pictures of me. I'm usually the one behind the camera. I always grab the camera and Seth grabs the video camera. I think he might get the better end of the deal here. It never fails he grabs the video camera when I have on no makeup and I'm in awful pajamas!
Okay, so Tessa, if you are reading this, your Christmas card was our favorite!!! You were all so stinking cute with your in the air poses. How cute were you grabbing your feet. Well, as this photo shoot began, Laurel said, "mom can you do criss cross applesauce in the air?" I said, "what are you talking about?"
Laurel said, "remember the lady who was in the air holding her feet?" I said, "oh yeah, Tessa. Well, I will give it a try."
Tessa, please tell me that you are still in your twenties because this 40 year old mama can not get her legs in the air like that! So I pulled out this jump and Laurel said, "wow, were you a cheerleader?" Um, No but hopefully I scored some points in the cool mom category.
So here's to forty! I'm not going to let it get me down. I'm embracing the age!
Does this mean I will need to be completely dressed and in the kitchen making breakfast tomorrow morning when the children wake up?
