Beach in September!

School started and a few weeks later we checked the girls out on a Thursday afternoon and headed to Orange Beach!  We have never gone to the beach this late in the year and now we might just do it every year!  The beach was not crowded at all.  We had lots and lots of room to spread out and play.  The only thing I think we could complain about would be the jellyfish!  They were pretty bad.  Poor Seth, Laurel and Landon got eat up!!  But they kept going back for more wave riding.  Laurel finally got Savannah out there with her to ride the waves and yep, she got stung too!

We got crazy the first night we got there and headed straight to the beach.  These were some very excited kids!  They rolled around in the sand and splashed in the water and couldn't wait to get out there the next day.

We stayed out all day long on Friday.  I'm talking from 9:30 to 4:30!  And it's a good thing we did because the next day we were only able to stay out for a couple of hours before it started raining.

The children had fun jumping between beds!  What else do you do on a rainy day at the beach?

On this rainy day, Seth took the three older ones for a drive, which included ice cream and Sawyer and I took a nap.  Then we went out to eat, where Landon plugged his nose the entire time because his daddy was eating shrimp that came out looking, well like the whole body of a shrimp.  Eyeballs and everything!  Landon was pretty disgusted by the whole meal.  We all laughed pretty hard at how he was able to sip on his fruity, frozen drink and keep his nose plugged at the same time!  I was with Landon, it seemed like too much work for my taste.

It was such a treat to be able to go to the beach again this summer!  It is our children's favorite place to be.  Landon has asked every day since, "can we go back to the beach?"
