My Three Men and Their Bikes

We went to Landon and Seth's dirt bike race the following weekend.  It was at Monster Mountain!  This place brought back some memories for me.  This was the first time I had been back here since Seth and I had dated.  The kids thought that was pretty cool that I had come to this place before Seth and I were married.
Landon raced first and then our little Sawyer raced in his first Strider Bike race.  He was so focused before the race.  It was so cute to watch.  His personality reminds me so much of Seth.  He also wants to do everything that Landon is doing, so he was so excited when we told him he was going to get to race in his own race!

Two boys, practicing in the field.

He kept doing that funny look with his eyes.  It's hard to get a picture these days without him being silly!

Laurel's photo!

And.... he's off!

Uncle Roger and Alistair came to watch!

Cousin Luke also came and guess what!?  Luke is sitting on his very own bike!  Landon may have some new competition soon.

Landon giving Sawyer a pep talk before Sawyer's race.

Papa was also there!  He doesn't miss many races!

Go, Sawyer!  Go!

Landon came in 4th place!

Sawyer came in 1st!!  Not bad, for his first bike race!  Riding on all of our hills around the house paid off!  He would pass the person in front of him every time on this really steep hill.  He was also the youngest one out there racing.  I'm turning into a proud, crazy, dirt bikin' mama!

I did not get one single picture of Seth's race!  But he got a really good start and came in 2nd place!

And guess who else got a new bike....... drum roll.......

Laurel did!  Since we have been coming to Landon's races, Laurel has seen all of these girls racing.  They are in the ponytail group.  One day, she said, "mommy, can I tell you something?"  I said, "of course you can!"  She said, " What do you think about me racing?"  I told her I thought she would be a very well rounded girl if she raced.  She loves taking dance.  She is going to cheer in the fall, and ride dirt bikes on the weekend!  I can't wait to see her race!
