St. Patrick's Day/Seth's Birthday

The night before St. Patrick's Day, I saw where a friend had shared this chart, "What's Your Leprechaun Name?".  I have always tried to at least dress the children in green for St. Patrick's Day, because come on, kids are just mean these days and I didn't want the girls getting pinched because mama forgot to tell them to wear green.
So we picked out the green outfits that night and then I saw this chart.  The next morning, when I went to wake everyone,  I called them by their Leprechaun name.  They were so confused and thought it was so funny.  I finally told them that it was their Leprechaun name for St. Patrick's Day!
They loved it and we used those names with each other throughout the day.

Please, let me introduce the O'Rainbow Family:

Laurel/Tater O'Rainbow
Savannah/ Clover O'Rainbow
Landon/Greenie O'Rainbow
Sawyer/ Shillelagh O'Rainbow (try to imagine all the ways that one was pronounced!  Hilarious!)

Seth's Irish name was also Clover.
And I was Blarney!

We celebrated Seth's birthday the next day.
He celebrated a big one, people!  45!!  We were talking the other night about how long we have been out of high school and honestly, it just doesn't seem that long ago for either one of us.  I just turned 43 in January and it is just hard to believe that we are that close to 50.  I do know that these young children we have will keep us acting young, for sure!

So I wanted to do something bigger for Seth this year.  In the past, make him a good dinner, have an ice cream cake and the man is happy.
He has always wanted to go out to Las Vegas to the last Super Cross race but has never bought tickets and done it.
I called my brother-in-law, Linn and asked him if he would purchase the ticket because I didn't want Seth to know.  Linn came through for me!  So Linn, Seth and my 3 nephews are all going.  The girls are always so good at making home made gifts for people's birthdays.  Honestly, those are Seth's favorite gifts to get.

Laurel lighting the candles and look at how excited Sawyer is!  Oh my goodness, I could eat him up!

So funny, Landon is trying so hard to keep that breath in while the girl's and I are singing Happy Birthday!

Savannah made Seth a book about all the things she loved about him.  It was really sweet!

Laurel got all the kids together and made a video using the video star app.  Seth loved it!

Linn didn't get the actual ticket in time to mail to me.  I told Seth to get out his phone and I sent him a picture of the ticket!  Look at that big grin!  It melted my heart! It's hard to surprise this man, especially when it involves spending money.

Happy Birthday!  You are going to Vegas to the Super Cross!!
