"Surprise Miss Harris!"

For over a year now, Miss Harris has been making, I guess you could call it "tutoring house calls."  She comes every Wednesday evening to help Laurel, and me :), understand math!  Seriously, I struggled with math and now they teach it completely different and so I'm no help to Laurel.
Laurel and Miss Harris have this very special bond with each other, but what makes Miss Harris special, is that she has this special bond with so many children!  She just has a way of making you think that you are her "special" one.

When we discovered that her birthday was on Wednesday, Laurel asked me if we could have a surprise party for her instead of tutoring.  Well, that sure sounded like more fun to me, so that is what we did!

The night before, I remembered that I had heard her say that her favorite cake was the cookie cake from Publix!  I made Lasagna for dinner and everything was set when she walked in!

This picture is so blurry but it shows her reaction!  All the kids were hiding and jumped out and screamed, "surprise!"  when she walked in.  She said, "What!?  All of this is for me!?"

 She is truly one of a kind teacher.
