Reaves' Family Reunion/Day one

I will have to say we ended the summer of 2014 with a bang!  My whole family, 4 siblings/their spouses, 16 grandchildren, grandma and grandpa all met in St. George, Utah for a fun filled week!  This is how it began.

It was Sawyers first time on an airplane and he loved it!  All the kids did great.

We love Southwest!  Laurel and Savannah even got to be airline stewardesses! We took a flight to Las Vegas and then drove to St. George.

Now let me digress a little and tell you about a discovery that was made right before we left for our trip.  We had the sister missionaries over for dinner and discovered that Sister Robison was from Mesquite, Nevada and we would be going right by her house on our way to St. George.  So immediately, I said that we would have to go by and surprise her family and tell them that we were from Alabama and knew their daughter.  She was so excited, and touched that we would do this.  I knew my children would love doing this.  As a mom, I would love it if I had a son or daughter on a mission and someone showed up at my door who knew them.

Sister Robison is on the right.  Sweet Sister Bush, on the left, was leaving to go home soon.  We LOVED her and would miss her.  So funny how you get attached to these sweet missionaries. I took them home that night and found this letter that Laurel had written when I returned.

I love the great examples they are to my children.
So we showed up at Sister Robison's house.  I had made signs, for each child to hold.  They said, "Alabama Loves Sister Robison!"  Her dad answered the door and read the signs and was grinning from ear to ear.  They invited us in and we got to tell them how their daughter was doing and how much we loved her sweet personality.
We left the Robison's  and headed to St. George!
 Red Mountains surrounded us!
Laurel and Savannah occupied their time with the camera!

Laurel got this picture, of the St. George temple, as we passed by.  My children are always amazed when they see our church on every street corner.  They aren't use to seeing this in Alabama.  Did you know that St. George is called, "Dixie!?"  And I will tell you, we felt just like we were at home being surrounded by all of our family!
