We all got together, one last time, at mom and dad's house to celebrate Scott, Tyler, and Courtney's birthdays.
I'm thinking Courtney and Tyler enjoyed their party, Ha! Or maybe not! Maybe they are upset because Landon stole the show and blew their candles out!!!
In all seriousness, I can't believe that Courtney is 13 and Tyler is 18. I remember when they were just babies!

There's this little game that dad plays with all the grandchildren. I'm not sure what it is called, maybe ATTENTION! So with this being our last time together he called them all to attention.
Then he has them Salute
This was my children's first time playing grandpa's game. Landon had no clue what to do!
But he looked around and figured it out. I think grandpa by this time was telling them to quit talking or giving them some command of order because Laurel and Savannah's big smile has calmed down a bit. Everyone has a much more serious face.
And now they are all having trouble staying serious. They loved this game! And I think grandpa feels like he still has some control in his life! :)
The day before we left, my sister and I met our friend, Melissa for breakfast. It was so good seeing her again. She was due with her 5th baby soon. (She has since given birth to a beautiful baby girl) I met Melissa when Seth and I lived out in Utah. Melissa is from Mississippi, a southern girl, and I immediately fell in love with her sweet, genuine personality and I know if I had stayed in Utah we would have spent lots of time together. I would meet up with her at this beautiful walking path in Salem and we would exercise together. I miss that! It was fun catching up with her and hearing about her sweet family.
