Seth's Dirt Bike Race/Troy

We were all coming down from our excitement of Landon's first dirt bike race, when we made the trek across the field to watch Seth take off! As we were at the start, all of these guys kept coming up to Landon saying, "good job, bud!" "you did it!" It was so funny to me that Landon knew all of these men and they knew him from all the dirt bike races he had gone to with Seth. Seth had always told me that Landon never meets a stranger and has no problem talking!

Papa with all the kids. He was such a big help to me. This race was so spread out and we did a lot of walking.

After Seth took off, which by the way, he got an awesome start, we found a spot in the woods to sit and watch the bikes go by. Seth races for an hour, comes into the pit and all the riders rest for an hour, and then all line up and take off again and race for another hour. Did you get that?

Poor Sawyer! We had walked and walked and this baby was tired. Seth will probably not like that I put this picture up but this is my reasoning. I would love to see a picture of myself, or Seth at this age pitching a fit. Sometimes I think we as parents, I'm talking about Seth and I, forget that they are little people and this is how they express themselves sometimes. Seth's dad did crack me up because I have never seen him get frustrated with my children and as I was taking pictures like a crazy mom, you know, documenting every step of our day! (I know I have issues!) He snatched him up like a sack of potatoes and said, "hey, you stop that flouncing!!!"

And he did! See, he's back up on his feet!
We ate lunch during Seth's break and then we walked across that field again and watched Seth take off. He got another good start. We found another place in the woods and relaxed and watched dirt bikes. Papa played with the boys and Laurel, Savannah and I did a photo shoot.
